The overall goal of the project is to develop the innovation within the vocational language learning, to develop tools increasing the professional activity of workers by means of using modern methods of continuous education in the form of comprehensive e-learning trainings, introduction of the standardization in the vocational language learning, to help workers, employees to communicate more effectively. The products developed in the course of the project will be aimed at adult learners, teachers, trainers, educational institutions, continuous education centres. It ought to be pointed out that workmen who decide to go abroad for work frequently have high qualifications when they go abroad, thus not using the foreign language they waste these qualifications. New employees very often do not know enough about the country culture, their language is lacking and it takes years for them to get into the right groove. Moreover, today we are facing a new challenge that is extreme mobility of workers . An experienced and up-to-date worker, who can speak the language of the country where he works, is always precious for enterpreneurs. There is a pressing need to create vocational training possibilities and methods for people in order to update their skills and adjust them to the labour market. The need to implement the project stems from the searching for better working conditions of the society, the shortage of labour force. The project aims at working out an effective model for teaching vocational languages, along with the tools and techniques to facilitate the process ( e-learning tool).
Additionally the projects is striving for developing professional skills of the teachers, making students more competitive, enabling the employees wishing to work in various European countries to obtain transparent and standardised language competence certification for their specific vocational field, teaching European vocational languages online: Italian, English, Greek, Polish, Portuguese, improving the accessibility to lifelong learning for vocations by presenting the status of vocational learners in partnership countries, difficulties they encounter and by presenting joint solutions, facilitating and strengthening e-learning and blended learning.

"Aspirations" is an adult educational project funded by the EU Life Long Learning programme ‘Grundtvig’. It is a partnership of groups across Europe designed to encourage understanding of the differing dynamic cultures within the EU and associated countries and to encourage cooperation amongst groups and individuals. These aims are being achieved by a series of meetings held by partners sharing a common working theme developed in each local context.

For "Aspirations" the partnership theme focuses on developing, amongst participants, an increased sense of ‘self-esteem’ & ‘well-being’ achieved through a series of creative activities designed to be of value for participants and their localities. The nature of these activities varies from partner to partner, but the emphasis is on encouraging participants to work creatively through social activities and to record the process in various media – including this web site. The process is designed to encourage reflection, by all involved, of issues relating to personal and community development – and to share a sense of ‘aspiration’ & to develop new thoughts, ideas and actions. The project concludes with all partners sharing a celebratory Spring festival in 2011, in a Romanian village set close to the Carpathian Mountains.
